OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma Department of Commerce has selected Roger Pulley as the new Regional Development Specialist (RDS), for Southwest Oklahoma. Pulley will serve a 13-county region in southwest and south central Oklahoma, and will office in Davis.
Pulley’s major priorities will be to assist regional businesses, connect them to appropriate state and federal resource programs, provide retention and expansion assistance, and interface with workforce development entities. Additionally, he will provide development assistance for counties and municipalities in his service region, and on-going support for existing regional partnerships in his service delivery region. “I am very grateful for the opportunity to join the Oklahoma Department of Commerce as a member of the Regional Development Team. This is a tremendous opportunity, both personally and professionally to serve business and community needs in southwest Oklahoma”, says Pulley.
Before coming to Commerce, Pulley served as the City Manager of Davis, Okla. Through previous positions, Pulley has amassed a broad range of experience and skills, working in municipal administration and economic development positions for communities.
“Roger is approachable, thoughtful, and brings a good amount of project knowledge gained from his experience in municipal government and economic development,” says Rob Gragg, Regional Development Director. “These skills will provide him a sound foundation to provide tools, resources, and real life experiences to assist communities and regional entities in Southwest Oklahoma.”
Commerce Regional Development Specialists are literally, the face of the Department of Commerce, representing the agency’s programs and services statewide. The RDSs are located in the 7 distinct regions of the state, comprising: OKC Metro, North Central, Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, Southwest, and West Central.
