OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Department of Commerce welcomes Stan Ralstin as the new Northwest Regional Development Specialist.
“Stan is a great addition to our Regional Development Team,” said Rob Gragg, director, regional development team. “He was born and raised in Guymon and he knows what drives business in northwest Oklahoma. Stan has real a connection with the people in the region.”
The Regional Development Team is the “face” of the Oklahoma Department of Commerce throughout the state, providing hands-on assistance, as well as referrals to resource and program providers.
Ralstin will serve a ten-county region that includes; Beaver, Cimarron, Dewey, Ellis, Garfield, Harper, Major, Texas, Woods and Woodward counties.
Ralstin has served the past 27 years as the Rural and Community Development Specialist with the Oklahoma State University Cooperative Extension Service.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to work exclusively with the people of northwest Oklahoma,” said Ralstin. “My entire life, both personal and professional, has been dedicated to improving the great state of Oklahoma.”
Ralstin graduated from Oklahoma State University with a master’s degree in agricultural economics.
Ralstin lives in Enid with his wife, Carol. They have two children; Aaron, a freshman at Oklahoma State University and Kamika, a freshman at Enid High School.p>
