The following reports take stock of announced growth and expansion within Oklahoma’s growing businesses, including the manufacturing sector, which is one of the state’s most important industries.
In Quarter 1 2015, there were 38 announcements made statewide, totaling over $613 million in new investment. 8 companies were new to Oklahoma. Over 2,700 jobs are expected to be created from this quarter’s growth.
In 2014, there were 120 announcements made statewide totaling over $4 billion in new investment. 18 companies were new to Oklahoma. Over 12,600 jobs are expected to be created from this year's growth. Macy's increased employment figures (2,500 jobs) at its new Owasso distribution center was the largest job announcement in 2014.
