The 2nd Quarter, 2017 average Consumer Price Index (US City Average) increased to 244.7. Monthly CPI has been trending upwards since November 2016 and quarterly CPI average has been trending upwards since the 4th Quarter of 2015, when the index was at 237.2. This year’s 1st half performed better than the previous year. This indicates growth momentum that was gained with reaching the 2% inflation levels in the 4th Quarter of 2016. The 4th Quarter of 2016 has been the strongest since 2nd Quarter of 2014.
