Workshop – Using Census Bureau Data for Economic Development
This hands-on workshop will teach you how to obtain the newly released Economic Census data from the Census website. Economic Census data may be used in business planning, business peer comparisons and market analysis.
Our upcoming workshop will take place live via video at four locations around the state. Staff from the Oklahoma Department of Commerce will be at each location for questions and assistance.

The workshop will cover Economic Census variables including capital expenditures by size of business, rental payments, employment size of establishments and firms, advertising services expenditures, worker wages and sales/revenues.
The workshop will also review the commodity flow survey which provides data on the movement of physical goods (commodities) within our nation and state, including their value, weight, and mode of transportation. This can be used in a supply chain analysis and to identify market opportunities.
